If you find yourself wandering through the charming coastal village of Gumusluk in Bodrum, don’t miss the delightful Mandarin Cafe, a hidden gem that promises a memorable culinary experience right by the water. This family-run cafe is celebrated not just for its picturesque location, but also for its commitment to serving authentic Turkish cuisine that resonates with both locals and travelers alike.

The star of the show at Mandarin Cafe is undoubtedly the breakfast. Dining here is akin to indulging in a feast of flavors that awaken the senses. Picture yourself savoring a generous spread of traditional Turkish breakfast delights — from creamy feta cheese and ripe tomatoes to olives and freshly baked bread, complemented by their famously fresh and invigorating squeezed tangerine juice. As customer Gavin Prendergast aptly noted, "Such a great start to our day," and it’s evident why so many visitors rave about it.

Notably, the cafe’s mandarin jam is a must-try, with David Lorenz proclaiming it “to die for.” Each jar is a labor of love, encapsulating the essence of the fragrant mandarin trees that dot the region. While some may find the price of 40 TL for 400 grams a tad steep as noted by Yiğit Güler, the rich flavors and deliciousness make every bite worth it. No trip to Mandarin Cafe is complete without taking something sweet home — a delightful souvenir that will remind you of your time along the beautiful Turkish coast.

The ambience of Mandarin Cafe enhances the experience further. With its cozy setup and striking seaside views, it invites you to relax and unwind. Nienke Gras expressed that it offered the "Best breakfast we had in Bodrum!" The laid-back atmosphere combined with swift and friendly service allows guests to enjoy their meals at a leisurely pace, making it the perfect spot for friends, family, or even a peaceful moment with a book.

Whether you are a food lover seeking authentic flavors or a traveler looking to connect with the local culture, Mandarin Cafe provides an authentic snapshot of Turkish gastronomic traditions. The warm and inviting service, along with their impressive array of breakfast options, ensures every visit is special. So, if you’re in the area, make a point to stop by this culinary paradise by the sea — you won't be disappointed!

I bought 400 gr mandarin marmalade. It was delicious however 40 TL is still a bit too much for that.

Best breakfast we had in Bodrum! Authentic and amazing food. Brought some of the jams and butters home, as we literally couldn’t get enough!
